Assalamu'Aleykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh, peeps! Today, I'm going to go crazy on posts, since I have nothing else to do. Have you guys ever heard of Preacher Moss? I've seen him perform live, and he is hilarious. You should check out his videos, they're funny in a halal way. He's just plain awesome. But if you're really in for a laugh, you should watch Allah Made Me Funny. There are two videos and they are each an hour or so long. They're both on Youtube, and here are the links!

Dang it... I couldn't find the good one I watched on Youtube over the summer. They must've taken it down. Well, if I find it, I'll post it, insha'Allah.

Peace!

Miracles of the Quran

Yesterday, I stumbled upon a website packed with miracles from the Quran. And, man ,those bits of information were enough to strengthen my iman, It's amazing, and I intend to share it with you.

It goes from predictions to scientific miracles proven to be true, and also mathematical  miracles. It is truly amazing. Here's an example. The Quran mentions male and female both 23 times, to show equality. It also predicts electricity in this ayah;  And We made a fount of molten copper flow out for him. (Qur'an, 34:12).

That's what I call amazing. Check it out people!

Niyyah

Niyyah. It's the most important thing that matters in your deen. Niyyah. "I heard the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam, say: “Actions are (judged) by motives (niyyah), so each man will have what he intended. Thus, he whose migration (hijrah) was to Allah andHis Messenger, his migration is to Allah and His Messenger; but he whose migration was for some worldly thing he might gain, or for a wife he might marry, his migration is to that for which he migrated.” [Al-Bukhari & Muslim]"

Commentary: According to some Ahadith, the reason for this Hadith is that a person sent a proposal of marriage to a woman named Umm Qais, which she turned down saying that he should have toemigrate to Al-Madinah for it. Accordingly, he did it for this specific purpose, and the two were married there. On account of this event, the man came to be known among the Companions as Muhajir Umm Qais.
I just love this way that niyyah works, which only proves more of Allah SWT's mercy.

Istighfar (Part 3)

There are many ways one can repent. First by completing the daily prayers, every sin committed between them is forgiven. By attending the Friday Jum'ah prayers, the weeks previous sins are forigiven. By fasting the month of Ramadan, the sins of the past year are forgiven. By completing the pilgramage, all sins committed in the past are forgiven and one returns like a new born child. A person who converts to Islam as all of their previous sins forgiven since they were committed without knowledge. By completing the optional tahajud night prayers, one can be forgiven for all of their sins.

Allah loves to forgive the sins of his servants as one of His names is the most forgiving and another is the most merciful. The only requirement for being to be forgiven is that they be sincere in repentance with the intention of never repeating the sin, though we being human as we are doesn't always happen. In this case Allah forgives again and again as He tells us in the Quran.

The Quran has dozens of verses describing Allah's mercy for those who repent and how they should repent. Here are a few verses translated from the Quran:

Allah accept the repentance of those who do evil in ignorance and repent soon afterwards; to them will Allah turn in mercy: For Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom.
( Chapter #4, Verse #17)

But those who do wrong but repent thereafter and (truly) believe,- verily thy Lord is thereafter Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
( Chapter #7, Verse #153)

But (even so), if they repent, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity,- they are your brethren in Faith: (thus) do We explain the Signs in detail, for those who understand.
( Chapter #9, Verse #11)

But (even so), if they repent, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity,- they are your brethren in Faith: (thus) do We explain the Signs in detail, for those who understand.
( Chapter #9, Verse #11)

But any that (in this life) had repented, believed, and worked righteousness, will have hopes to be among those who achieve salvation.
( Chapter #28, Verse #67)

O ye who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance: In the hope that your Lord will remove from you your ills and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow,- the Day that Allah will not permit to be humiliated the Prophet and those who believe with him. Their Light will run forward before them and by their right hands, while they say, "Our Lord! Perfect our Light for us, and grant us Forgiveness: for Thou hast power over all things."
(Chapter #66, Verse #8)

Istighfar (Part 2)

All sins are forgivable in Islam if the person sincerely repents to Allah. The thing that cannot be forgiven if the person does not repent of it before dying is shirk or taking partners with Allah. Allah says [Allah forgiveth not that partners should be set up with Him; but He forgiveth anything else, to whom He pleaseth; to set up partners with Allah is to devise a sin most heinous indeed] (An-Nisaa' 4:48).

Allah says in Surat Az-Zumar [Say: "O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! despair not of the Mercy of Allah: for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful] (Az-Zumar 39:53).

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also said, "Allah will accept the repentance of His servant as long as he does not breathe his last" (Ahmad).

All sins are forgivable in Islam if the person sincerely repents to Allah. Conditions of repentance are these:

1. Regretting the sin
2. Determining not to commit the same sin again
3. Returning things to their rightful owners if the sin is related to wronging people

If the sinner does not repent and dies persistent in doing the sin, then judgment is left to Allah: If He wishes He can forgive the person, and if He wishes He can punish the person.

What cannot be forgiven if the person does not repent of it before dying is shirk or taking partners with Allah. Allah says [Allah forgiveth not that partners should be set up with Him; but He forgiveth anything else, to whom He pleaseth; to set up partners with Allah is to devise a sin most heinous indeed] (An-Nisaa' 4:48).

Rapists and murderers are not excluded from the mercy of God if they sincerely repent to Allah and fulfill the above mentioned conditions. Islam promises that the bad deeds accumulated by the sinners will be replaced by good deeds if they repent and go back to Allah. Allah says [Those who invoke not, with Allah, any other god, nor slay such life as Allah has made sacred, except for just cause, nor commit fornication, and any that does this (not only) meets punishment. (But) the Penalty on the Day of Judgment will be doubled to him, and he will dwell therein in ignominy. Unless he repents, believes and works righteous deeds, for Allah will change the evil of such persons into good, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful] (Al-Furqan 25:68-70).

Istighfar (Part 1)

Allahumma anta rabbee la ilaha illa ant, khalaqtanee wa-ana AAabduk, wa-ana AAala AAahdika wawaAAdika mas-tataAAt, aAAoothu bika min sharri ma sanaAAt, aboo-o laka biniAAmatika AAalay, wa-aboo-o bithanbee, faghfir lee fa-innahu la yaghfiruth-thunooba illa ant.
‘O Allaah, You are my Lord, none has the right to be worshipped except You, You created me and I am You servant and I abide to Your covenant and promise as best I can, I take refuge in You from the evil of which I committed. I acknowledge Your favour upon me and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for verily none can forgive sin except You.’
The Prophet, Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam, added, “If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it and dies before the morning he will be from the people of Paradise.”
